Iran Attacks Israel, Joe Biden Contact PM Netanyahu

JAKARTA - US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly communicated by telephone, following Iran's attack on Israel.

As reported by CNN, there are no details of the conversation between the two regarding the Iranian drone attack in retaliation for the Israeli attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims an attack on Israel in response to an attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria that killed a number of Iranian military elites, citing IRNA.

"The attack is a response to various crimes committed by the Zionist regime, including attacks on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus and the killing of a group of commanders and advisers to the military of our country in Syria," the statement said.

Last week the US had turned on a high signal of vigilance against possible Iranian attacks targeting Israeli or US assets following the response to an Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria.

We are really at a high level of vigilance, the official said when confirming a CNN report that said an attack could occur next week as reported by Reuters, Saturday, April 6.

Israeli warplanes allegedly bombed Iranian embassies in Damascus on Monday, April 1 in an attack that killed an Iranian military commander and marked a major increase in Israel's war with its regional enemies.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said seven Iranian military advisers were killed in the attack, including Mohammad Reza Zahedi, senior commander of the Quds Forces, who are foreign espionage and paramilitary regimes.

Iran says it has the right to take firm action.

US President Joe Biden discussed threats from Iran by phone call on Thursday, April 4, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
