JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early warning regarding the potential for moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in a number of provinces of Indonesia on Saturday, April 13. In the information uploaded on the official website of the BMKG, areas that have the potential to experience heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds include Aceh, Bali, Bangka Belitung, Banten, Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, Jambi, West Java, East Java, to the Kalimantan and Lampung regions. Not only that, the potential for heavy rain is also expected in Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Papua, West Papua, Riau, to Sulawesi and several provinces in Sumatra.

The head of BMKG, Dwikorita Karnawati, has appealed to the public to increase vigilance during the period of homecoming flow and backflow of Lebaran. He emphasized the importance of monitoring information and weather conditions before starting the trip. "If weather conditions worsen, it is better to postpone travel.
