Indonesian Humanitarian Aid To Palestine Constrained By Licensing, This Is The Response Of The TNI Commander

JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto admitted that humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people had been constrained by licensing. However, delivery by air or Airdrop was finally possible. This was said by General Agus when holding a Press Conference regarding the success of the TNI in deploying humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, located at Wisma A. Yani, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday 10 April. Press conference was held a day after a humanitarian mission with the code "Solidarity Path Operation" led by Mission Commander Colonel Pnb Noto Casnoto managed to deploy assistance of 20 packages with a weight of 160 kg each in the Palestinian Gaza sky. On that occasion, the TNI Commander appreciated the efforts of the contingent of humanitarian missions for Palestine, which previously experienced licensing constraints to carry out the Airdrop. The TNI Commander explained that it was true that there were some obstacles before the implementation of the Airdrop, but thanks to strict coordination, the team was finally able to carry out the Air Drop procession. In front of the media crew, the TNI Commander also said that technically deployed assistance by means of Airdrop for now is the safest way for the Palestinian people. When asked whether there would be an advanced Air Drop assistance mission, the TNI Commander said that he would seek information related to the needs of the Palestinian people.

"Later we will ask for information on the needs of the refugee community (Palestinian) there, we will collect them and God willing, we will send them again," concluded the TNI Commander. Regarding the planned arrival of the Hercules Indonesian Air Force aircraft after successfully deploying aid in the Gaza Palestinian airspace, the TNI Commander said that the contingent was planned to arrive in Indonesia Thursday, April 11 at around 17.00 WIB at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base Base, Jakarta.
