Airlangga's Answer To The Possibility Of Being Golkar 1 Again Aklamated

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto responded to the possibility of acclamation opportunities for the election of the general chairman for the 2024-2029 period at the 2024 National Conference (Munas).

"Of course we will see the progress, and God willing, we will continue to complete future political tasks," said Airlangga in Jakarta, Sunday, April 7 evening.

Airlangga has received support from all Golkar regional leaders throughout Indonesia, to run again as general chairman for the third term.

Two founding organizations of the Golkar Party: Musyawarah Keluarga Gotong Royong (MKGR) and PPK Kosgoro 1957 also provided a letter of support to Airlangga. There is one founding organization that has not provided support, namely the central organization of Indonesian self-employed employees (SOKSI).

Then, three community organizations (ormas) formed by the Golkar Party also submitted a letter of support, namely the Islamic Da'wah Council (MDI), the Women's Association of Works (HWK) and the Al Hidayah Recitation.

There are three formed mass organizations that have not provided support, namely the Golkar Party Youth Force (AMPG), the Golkar Party Women's Unit (KPPG) and the Indonesian Ulema Work Unit.

He said, support is a mandate that must be maintained. However, the short-term Golkar Party agenda is the preparation of the Pilkada with a target of 60 percent victory.

"After that, we, God willing, will be held accountable at the National Conference in December," he emphasized.
