Special Committee For IKN DPRD DKI Designs Jakarta Mechanism To Become An Agglomeration City

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Special Committee (Pansus) after the move of the State Capital (IKN) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD is preparing to discuss the Jakarta mechanism as an agglomeration city.

Member of the Special Committee for IKN DPRD DKI, Dwi Rio Sambodo, revealed that the results of the discussion will later become a recommendation to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to support regional development needs in Jakarta after IKN.

"For example, the first is about the area arrangement agglomeration area. How can this make synergy complementary and meet the aspects of local wisdom," Rio said in his statement, Sunday, April 7.

On the one hand, Rio hopes that local governments will start coordinating with the central government regarding the arrangement of national property in Jakarta after the official IKN administration runs.

So that the land, settlement, transportation and green open space (RTH) problems, according to Rio, can be resolved.

"How the implementation of the DKJ Law does not make the general dominance of citizens experience the elimination of ownership of existing land," said Rio.

"But actually how can it strengthen the right to land and later there will be no hegemony of land ownership," he added.

The 14th Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Session Period IV for Session Year 2023-2024 finally approved the decision making of Level II on the DKJ Bill to be ratified into law.

After the DKJ Bill was passed by the DPR through Level II Decision Making in the Plenary Meeting, President Joko Widodo still needed to issue a presidential decree (keppres) before the capital officially moved from Jakarta to IKN.
