This Is Muhammadiyah's Explanation To Set Eid 2024 Early From The Government

JAKARTA - The Central Executive (PP) of Muhammadiyah revealed the reason for his party to set Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri or Lebaran 2024 earlier than the government.

"The Muhammadiyah mass is normal, this is done, because we used the hakikihisab method in the form of a hilal," said PP Muhammadiyah Chairman Haedar Nashir via video on the Muhammadiyah Channel YouTube channel, Sunday, April 7, which was confiscated by Antara. Haedar emphasized that the announcement submitted by his party earlier did not intend to precede and leave certain parties in the determination of Eid al-Fitr. "This is a common thing every year, as well as various Islamic organizations issuing calendars, whether the hijri calendar contains date in hijriah that has slices with ritual worship, or maybe also a calendar of miladidiyah (masehi) related to dates related to public activities," he said. If there are similarities and differences in the date specified by Haedar said, it should be possible to make Muslims tolerant, tasamuh (respectable each other), and tanawu (respecting different ways in terms of carrying out worship). "So, this message will actually strengthen our intention in worship," he said.

Untuk menyelesaikan masalah perbedaan, kata Haedar, Muhammadiyah terus mendorong seluruh pihak dalam mewujudkan Kalender Hijriah Global Tunggal (KHGT).

According to him, KHGT is expected not only to apply to Indonesia, but also to Muslims around the world, so that the difference does not continue to repeat itself. "One global calendar is like a calendar of millennials (masehi). So, there are no longer differences and there are no more activities that make us sincere or different in determining," said Haedar.
