Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Crowd Arafah In The Middle Of Hot Weather Ahead Of Wukuf

JAKARTA - Indonesian pilgrims packed Padang Arafah in the midst of hot weather ahead of the implementation of the wukuf which will start on 9 Dzulhijjah or Thursday (5/6) tomorrow.

Antara reporters in Arafah monitored, the temperature and hot weather welcomed the arrival of Indonesian pilgrims in the large area located about 20 kilometers from Makkah City.

A total of 221,000 Indonesian pilgrims began to move gradually to Arafah and arrived from 10.00 Saudi Arabia time until the evening.

The worshipers will spend the night in Arafah's tent before starting the hajj unit, namely wusuf, the next day.

To anticipate extreme weather, Indonesian Hajj officers and Syarikah or Hajj service companies in Saudi Arabia distributed umbrellas to pilgrims.

All pilgrims occupy the Arafah tent built by eight Syarikah with various designs and facilities.

The placement of worshipers in Arafah's tent is no longer based on the batch, because one tent can be filled by one to three groups at once.

Arriving at the tent, many worshipers immediately rested inside because the temperature outside was very hot. Some worshipers choose to relax on the homepage in front of the tent which is widely provided by Syarikah.

Previously, the Head of the Indonesian Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) Muchlis M. Hanafi had appealed to the congregation not to leave the tent during the day, especially between 10:00 and 16.00.

The congregation was asked to maintain stamina because it would undergo a tiring series of hajj pillars, starting from wukuf in Arafah, spending the night in Muzdalifah, to throwing jumrah in Mina for five consecutive days.
