D-4 Lebaran, KAI: 19,192 Homecomers Departing From Gambir Station

JAKARTA - A total of 19,192 people departed for homecoming from Gambir Station today or D-4 for Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri or Lebaran 2024 with 41 long-distance train trips.

It was observed that the travelers packed the benches provided near various entrances per 11.31 WIB.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko said there were 41 long-distance train trips (KAJJ) at the station that brought thousands of passengers home.

On April 6, 2024 is the peak of the highest homecoming flow where there are 47 thousand travelers using railway services from Jakarta.

"A total of 47,005 passengers departing from Jakarta with 79 KAJJ operations on Saturday," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

In addition to 19,192 travelers from Gambir Station, he continued, there were 26,777 passengers from Pasar Senen Station who went with 38 KAJJ trips. The rest of the stations in the KAIDaop 1 Jakarta area are Jakarta, Jatinegara, Bekasi, Cikampek, Karawang, and Cikarang.

"Second place occurred on D-5 yesterday as many as 46,509, next D-3 tomorrow the provisional figure is 46,374 prospective train passengers who have booked tickets," said Ixfan.

As of Saturday, he said, there are still 251,273 seats for departures from H1 to D+10 or 11 to 21 April 2024 for the departure of KAJJ from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen.

For general information, he continued, during the 2024 Eid Transport period, from March 31 to April 21, 20124, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta provided 1,688 KAJJ trips with an average of 77 KAJJ trips per day.

As for the details, 40 trips from KAJJ departed from Gambir Station and 37 trips from KAJJ departed Pasar Senen Station.

"Of the total KAJJ trips, 963,948 seats were provided with an average of 43,816 seats per day," said Ixfan.
