Central Java Police Traffic Director Kombes Sonny Irawan said the traffic flow conditions at the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate until this afternoon were still sloping.

"Until the afternoon the traffic conditions are still crowded, the number of vehicles passing is still below 3 thousand per hour," Sonny said when met at the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 5.

The implementation of the one-way route was previously scheduled to start at 14.00 WIB today.

"We are still seeing the situation in the west. The traffic flow in Cikampek Utama is still at a controlled limit, between 3,500 to 4,000 vehicles per hour," he said.

Thus, he continued, it is still being tried not to implement a one-way system.

With this density, according to him, eight main substations and satellite substations are opened to serve vehicles from the west.

He said the condition of the flow of vehicles from the west would continue to be updated and waiting for instructions from the Korlantas Polri for the implementation of the one-way route.

The peak flow of travelers at the Kalikangkung toll gate is still predicted to occur on April 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang Nasrullah said that the increase in currents on the roller section, which is an access to Semarang City, has occurred since April 4, 2024.

"The average passing vehicle reaches 30 thousand per day, higher than the normal time of 16 thousand vehicles per day," he said.
