JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini revealed the problems that caused the distribution of social assistance (bansos) for the 2023 period to decline. One of them is because the recipient data check process is not appropriate. Risma gave an example, based on the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), there are several social assistance recipients who actually work as State Civil Apparatus (ASN). So, the truth needs to be explored. "For example, if it is found by the BPK, civil servants are recipients. Now we need time, whether or not he is a civil servant, right or not, so that's one of the reasons why 2023 is a bit backwards, so that finding," said Risma in the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) trial at the Constitutional Court (MK), Friday, April 5. Then there are also other examples of cases such as examining the status of a company commissioner based on data from the General Law Administration (AHU) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Another problem found is the lack of supporting facilities such as ATMs and posts in several areas. Thus, making it difficult for people to receive social assistance.

"After we looked into it, why is the absorption small? Well, it turns out that there are areas, for example like Aceh, they have to cross that person, because there are no ATMs, Posts, so they have to cross. Now, those who receive it are at most Rp. 450 thousand, crossing it takes Rp. 600 thousand. So then they don't take it, because or it is taken at the end of the year.
