LABUAN BAJO - Head of the Komodo National Park (TNK) Hendrikus Rani Siga said as many as 13 Komodo dragons hatched in Loh Buaya Pulau Rinca, Pasir Panjang Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"When we found the Komodo nest, we fenced it and monitored it," he said when contacted in Labuan Bajo as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 4.

He explained that dozens of Komodo babies hatched in early March 2024. The discovery of the Komodo egg nest is considered very rare in the TNK area.

Komodo dragons are spread in several locations, namely on Rinca Island as many as 1,509 people, Komodo Island as many as 1,694 people, Gili Motang as many as 70 people, Nusa Kode as many as 92, and Padar Island as many as 31.
