PARINGIN - A man from Hamarung Village, Juai District, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan MM (33) was arrested by the police for shopping using counterfeit money.

The Deputy Chief of the Balangan Police, Kompol Muhammad Irfan, revealed that the perpetrator bought retail fuel at a shop owned by local residents with counterfeit money.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Balangan Police, Iptu Galuh Rizka Pangestu, revealed that from the perpetrator's confession, the use of counterfeit money was still around his village.

"The fake money that was circulated by the perpetrator was still around his house, feeling that his action was smooth and he returned to order the counterfeit money worth Rp. 2 million," said Galuh.
