Reasons For The Attorney General's Office To Examine Sandra Dewi In The Case Of Alleged Tin Corruption

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) said that the examination of Sandra Dewi was aimed at sorting out accounts related to corruption cases in the tin trading system of the Mining Business Permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk from 2015 to 2022, today.

Sandra Dewi is known to be Harvey Moeis' wife, one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case.

"Today we are calling an elementary school witness in order to examine several accounts that we blocked for the time of the day in order to sort out which ones are suspected to have something to do with the crime allegedly committed by HM's brother," said the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Kuntadi told reporters, Thursday, April 4.

This step was taken so that there would be no errors from investigators, especially in the process of confiscation of evidence related to allegations of tin corruption.

'"It's hoped that we don't make mistakes in confiscation, and just sorting out and choosing, yes. That's probably the urgency of that's just limited," he said.

However, regarding the number of accounts that had been confiscated, Kuntadi did not explain in detail. Only conveyed when it comes to the nominal will not be submitted.

"There are some (accounts) and I haven't, we can't mention the nominal," said Kuntadi.

In handling the suspect Harvey Moeis, investigators have confiscated several pieces of evidence that are suspected of being the result or related to a tin corruption case. Some of the items confiscated included two luxury cars.

"(The temporary confiscation) includes Rolls Royce and Mini Cooper cars," said Kuntadi.
