Airlangga Is Ready To Attend The Constitutional Court Session, But Still Waiting For An Invitation

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party as well as Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that he was ready to attend the presidential election lawsuit hearing at the Constitutional Court (MK).

"God willing, come, if invited," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 2.

He emphasized that until now he is still waiting for an invitation from the Constitutional Court. "We want to wait for the invitation first. The invitation should be until today," he said.

The Constitutional Court scheduled the summons of four ministers in the PHPU 2024 presidential election follow-up session on Friday (5/4). Other ministers who were summoned as witnesses were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani and Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.

"If the Constitutional Court is waiting for it, there must be an invitation," said Airlangga.

Previously, the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Suhartoyo, said that the summons of the parties was based on the results of the judge's deliberation meeting.

"It is necessary to convey to the parties that Friday will be reserved for summoning parties deemed necessary by the Constitutional Court, based on the results of the meeting of His Majesty the judges this morning," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo at the Constitutional Court I RI Building, Jakarta, Monday.

In addition to the four ministers, the Constitutional Court also scheduled summons for the Honorary Council of Election Organizers.

Suhartoyo emphasized that the summons of the five parties categorized as important to be heard by the Constitutional Court was not a form of accommodation for applications from the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD camps.
