RDP With Teacher Forum, DPR Disburses Honorary Teacher Factors Not Visiting ASN

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission X Mujib Rohmat stated a number of reasons why honorary teachers have not been appointed as teachers with the status of State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

"Ndillah (it turns out) that handling education in terms of education policy is Commission X, but what regulates its staff is the Ministry of PANRB which is not a partner of Commission X, and the one who regulates the money is in the Ministry of Finance, the one who regulates it more technically is the local government. These are all different commissions," said Mujib at the General Hearing Meeting (RDPU) of Commission X DPR RI with a teacher forum which was followed online in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 2, which was confiscated by Antara.

Mujib said this caused the DPR RI not to be able to summon relevant stakeholders at any time to discuss matters concerning various staffing problems of honorary teachers.

His party is committed to being committed to providing support to honorary teachers. This commitment, he continued, has been proven by encouraging relevant stakeholders to facilitate access to honorary teachers so that it is easier to be appointed as ASN.

"We used to propose that there would be no more tests, if necessary, just administration. In the past, it was okay, then it was given again because there was another law that said ASN had to be tested, we were still nawar again, okay, just tested, but just performed. Then until there is a bimbel too, we also ask that we also give the grids," he said.

"PPPK honestly has who? Actually has a public education right? To go public, finally get caught by the private sector. The private sector finally shouted here, also asked for an opportunity. Okay, given, the government gave it the opportunity. Once given the opportunity, it turns out that in the private sector it is easier to get a certificate. Because there are certificates, 100 percent affirmations (value increases) that are more widely accepted are (registers of PPPK registrants from schools) private schools, right? " said Mujib.

For this reason, he hopes that problems related to the employment status of honorary teachers can find a bright spot in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

Previously, the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas said non-ASN/honorary staff and lecturers were of concern in the procurement of CASN 2024.

"There are several important points that are the pressure points. First, this formation is part of efforts to complete non-ASN/honorary personnel in all work units of the Ministry of Education and Culture, in addition to of course formations in broad schemes in the world of education which are also scattered in the local government," said Anas.

The PANRB Ministry has handed over a formation permit of 40,541 ASN candidates within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The formation consists of 15,462 CPNS and 25,079 PPPK.
