10 Passenger Ships Prepared At Ciwandan Port, Banten

SERANG - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo said as many as 10 passenger ships had been prepared at Ciwandan Port, Cilegon City, Banten, for Lebaran 2024 homecoming transportation.

General Manager Pelindo Banten Yohanes Wibowo Situmeang said the 10 ships, which were prepared at Pelindo port, had been adjusted to the condition of the available dock.

"Indeed, it cannot be just any ship, because the height of the dock and the ramp door next to the pier is a bit limited gate and the ship's high ramp door," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 1.

In addition, at Ciwandan Port, three piers are also available to transport travelers.

This year, Ciwandan Port is only intended for passengers with two-wheeled vehicles and six- and seven-class truck vehicles.

"The demonstration is long, so we can build three ships for a maximum, if the ship is below 200 meters long," he said.

Pelindo Port also prepared parking lots with a capacity of 2,000 for motorbikes and 200 for sixth and seventh class trucks, while for groups eight and nine according to directions it had been transferred to the Port of BBBJB.

In addition, Pelindo also prepared two guide officers who served alternately and two tugboats and were also supported by a tugboat from PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera one unit and PT Pelabuhan Cilegon Mandiri one unit, as well as supporting facilities prepared by PTASDP such as the joint tent post for security forces, public toilets, P3K rooms, and UMKM tents.
