Hasto Soal Kabar Golkar Tekan PDIP Terkait Kursi Ketua DPR: Alhamdulillah Kalau Dibantah

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto is grateful for the Golkar Party for denying pressure on his party in the fight for the seat of the next Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

"Yes, thank God, if it has been denied that there is no attempt to change the MD3 Law from Golkar. So we interpret the rebuttal in such a context," Hasto told reporters at the Media Center TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 1.

Hasto reminded that the MD3 Law is a reflection of the implementation of the democratic party, namely the election. Thus, the rules regarding the seat holders of the Chairperson of the DPR RI should be implemented.

"Similarly, in areas where PDI wins, namely being the chairman of the DPRD, yes, where Golkar wins being the chairman of the DPRD is a rule that is very in accordance with the voice of the people," he said.

"Because in a mature democracy, the law should be related to the election results where MD3 is a reflection of the election results where what the people voiced put the PDI-P as the winner of the election," continued the Secretary of the TPN Ganjar-Mahfud.

For information, the position of Chairman of the DPR based on the Law on the MPR, DPR, DPD, and DPRD (MD3) should have a party that wins the general election (election). In the context of the 2024 Legislative Election, the seat belongs to the PDIP.

Meanwhile, Golkar's vote in the 2024 election is under PDIP. In this regard, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto admitted that his party had not yet approached the factions in the DPR to revise the MD3 Law.

"Nothing at all," said Airlangga when met at the Golkar Party DPP office, West Jakarta, Friday, March 29.

Airlangga said that Golkar was used to getting the seat of Chairman of the DPR so far. However, he has not spoken about efforts to revise the MD3 Law for the position of Chairman of the DPR.

"Golkar usually has a seat. But there has been no effort," concluded the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
