Anies-Muhaimin Team Expert Reveals High Prabowo's Voice Thanks To Social Assistance And Jokowi's Visit

JAKARTA - The expert brought in by Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar team, Vid Adrison, explained that Prabowo-Gibran's high vote was due to the distribution of social assistance (bansos) and President Joko Widodo.

"Jokowi's visit will be effective in increasing Prabowo's vote in 2024," said Vid Adrison at the Mahakamah Constitution (MK) session, Monday, April 1.

Vid analyzed, in the period 22 October 2023 to 1 February 2024, Jokowi visited 30 regencies/cities and distributed social assistance 44 times. During the visit, Jokowi's 50 visits were in Central Java.

Then, in the 2024 presidential election vote acquisition, there was an increase with an average of 32 percent of Prabowo-Gibran's votes compared to Prabowo's vote in the 2019 presidential election.

"It turns out that there is indeed a fairly large increase in the number of candidate pair 02 votes when compared to Prabowo's vote in the 2019 presidential election with an average increase of 32 percent, a minimum of 6.3 (percent) maximum of 66.3 (percent)," said Vid.

The expert's statement is in line with the argument for the Anies-Muhaimin candidate pair application regarding the high vote acquisition of Prabowo-Gibran due to President Jokowi's neutrality.

A member of Anies-Muhaimin's legal team, Bambang Widjojanto, said that one of the interventions carried out by Jokowi to gain Prabowo-Gibran's voice was the misuse of social assistance. Jokowi, said Bambang, distributed social assistance to areas where Prabowo's votes needed to be raised.

This was conveyed by Bambang in the inaugural trial of the 2024 presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court building, Thursday, March 27.

Bambang gave an example, there were 15 regions in Central Java that were targeted by the distribution of social assistance which turned out to result in a significant increase in votes for Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election compared to Prabowo's previous presidential election.

Another example that Bambang highlighted was the acquisition of Prabowo-Gibran's votes in the Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, which was also the target point for distributing social assistance, which was 75.39 percent.

Meanwhile, in the 2014 presidential election, Prabowo's vote was only 21.91 percent. Then, Prabowo's voice in the 2019 presidential election was only 9.01 percent.

"After visiting Pak Jokowi to several places in several areas, if we categorize Pak Prabowo's figures in 2014, 2019, and 2024 where power interventions occur, there will be a tremendous spike," explained Bambang.
