JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the DPR Bobby Rizaldi said the cause of the explosion of an ammunition warehouse with a TNI that occurred in Bogor Regency, West Java must be investigated so that similar incidents do not happen again.

"Although the explosion of the ammunition warehouse in Cilandak KKO Marines was 29 October 1984, this disaster must still be investigated and evaluated immediately," he said when contacted by VOI, written on Sunday, March 31.

In addition, Bobby also encouraged the evaluation of the whereabouts of the TNI's bullet warehouses which are close to residential areas. Including the possibility of relocating if deemed necessary.

"In the nearest meeting, this will be asked whether the locations of military warehouses in dense locations of residential areas are still worth maintaining or it is time to be relocated. This is not someone's fault but, the construction of settlements that may have not been anticipated in the past," he said.

Bobby said that the evaluation of the existence of bullet warehouses close to these settlements was carried out as a preventive measure so that similar incidents did not occur.

"Although there were no casualties such as the Cilandak KKO explosion, preventive action must be taken immediately, and combed if there are grenades or ammunition scattered like those on social media (social media) there are people's homes," he explained.

As previously reported, a fire with a convoy of explosions at the Paldam Jaya Regional Munition Warehouse (Gud cheap) was finally extinguished on Sunday, March 31. The blackout process was declared complete at 08.49 WIB.

As is known, the fire extinguishing process was carried out by firefighters from three cities, namely DKI Jakarta, Bogor and Bekasi. The extinguishing process has been carried out since Saturday night, March 30.

The big explosion that occurred at the Paldam Jaya Regional Munition Warehouse (Gud cheap) in Ciangsana Village, Bogor Regency made civilians living not far from the location feel scared.

TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto said the warehouse for the expired munitions was underground, so he said it was safe. The explosion that occurred had previously been anticipated by the TNI.

"We have the SOP of subducation underground, so it's down because (the munitions) are unstable, and at any time it can explode. That's our storage SOP underground. Then there is an embankment and far from community settlements," he said in his statement to reporters, Sunday, March 31.

As a result of the explosion and fire that hit the Regional Munition Warehouse (Gud cheap), as many as 65 tons of small-caliber munitions (MKK) and large-caliber munitions (MKB) were also affected.

"So there are a total of 65 tons. So that's why the Jaya Military Command has several units. Of these units, the SOP, whose ammunition has been expired, has been returned to the Jaya Military Command, this cheap Gud is for further examination and it is verified that these steps have finally been disposal," he said.
