There Is No Instruction For The PDIP Faction, Puan Calls The Right Of Questionnaire There Has Been No Movement

JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, said that until now there has been no movement regarding the application for the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election in parliament.

In fact, Puan admitted that she did not give directions for the PDIP faction to roll out the right of inquiry, even though this discourse arose from the presidential candidate who was promoted by her party.

"Not yet, there has been no movement. No instructions, nothing," said Puan during a press conference at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 28.

Puan said that her party was still looking at the urgency of the right of inquiry for the public. He reminded that the right of inquiry is not only a political interest but also needs political support.

"So we'll see, at least if it is the right of the DPR members who are the best to be done for the nation, it's okay, but it's not there yet, we'll see how it is in the field," said the Central Java electoral district legislator.

When asked about the attitude of the PDIP faction regarding the right of inquiry, Puan has not confirmed it. She only said that her party hopes that the application for the right of inquiry is in accordance with the existing regulations in the MD3 Law and regulations. One of them must be proposed by at least two factions and signed by 25 members of the DPR.

"If it already exists, of course we will wait for how, until now there is not," said the chairman of the PDIP DPP.
