Harvey Moeis, Sandra Dewi's husband was detained as a suspect in tin/DOK corruption at the AGO

JAKARTA - Harvey Moeis (HM), the husband of artist Sandra Dewi, has been named by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) as a suspect in the corruption case of tin commodity trading in the Mining Business Permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk in 2015-2022.

In this corruption case, Harvey has a special role, namely as an extension of PT RBT.

Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Dirdik Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office, Kuntadi explained, Harvey is also said to have contacted the former President Director of PT Timah Tbk in 2016-2021, MRPT alias RZ. For this reason, his role is very strong in the case of corruption in the tin commodity.

"Around 2018 to 2019, HM contacted the President Director of PT Timah, namely MRPT or Brother RZ to accommodate illegal mining activities in the PT Timah IUP area," he said at a press conference at the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, last Wednesday.

Kuntadi added that Harvey's role in capacity only represents PT RBT, but not as a PT RBT administrator.

Furthermore, after communication took place, Harvey held a meeting with RZ. Then from the results of the meeting they have agreed to carry out the illegal mining accommodator activity. To cover it up, which is wrapped by renting a tin smelting processing equipment.

"Then, the HM suspect contacted several smelters, namely PT SIP, CV VIP, PT SPS, and PT TIN to participate in the activity," explained Kuntadi.

Then, Harvey asked the smelters to set aside part of the profits generated. This advantage was then handed over to Harvey, as if as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund facilitated by the Manager of PT QSE, Helena Lim (HLN), who had previously been a suspect.

"The profit that was set aside was then handed over to the person concerned with the cover of the payment of CSR funds, then sent the smelters to HM through QSE facilitated by the suspect HLN," he concluded.

Harvey Moeis is the 16th suspect in the tin commodity corruption case. For his actions, Harvey violated the provisions of Article 2 Paragraph 1, Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.
