JAKARTA - The Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) reported the death of a 22-year-old man in Pahang due to a hot attack while another person is still being treated in an intensive care unit (ICU).
KKM in a media statement said the patient affected by the heat attack was being treated at Sultan Ahmad Shah Temerloh Hospital, Pahang on January 31, 2024 and died on February 2.
Meanwhile, another 24-year-old male patient is still undergoing treatment at the ICU at Port Dickson Hospital and is in stable condition.
As reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27, the KKM said that a disease due to a heat attack was also suffered by another 22-year-old male patient who had to be treated in the ICU at Sultanah Maliha Hospital, Langkawi, but now his condition has improved and was transferred to an ordinary treatment room in a stable condition.
There were 25 other hot attacks recorded as of Monday (25/3), all of whom have received treatment and recovered.
KKM also received reports of 28 cases of fever related to heat involving 19 cases of fatigue due to heat, nine cases of hot attacks. No cases of hot seizures were reported.
