Police Arrest 2 Men In Ternate Having Drugs, 530.23 Grams Of Marijuana Seized

The Satreskoba Polres Ternate di Maluku Utara (Malut) meringkus (JY) alias Jufri (21) dan AAK alias Auwal (27), dua pelaku kasus penyalahgunaan narkotika jenis ganja. Sebanyak 530, 23 gram ganja diamankan.

The Head of Drugs at the Ternate Police, Iptu Suherman, said the two perpetrators were arrested from two different locations. The first perpetrator, Jufri was arrested in the Stadium Village, precisely in front of the freight forwarding service office on Monday, March 25 at around 17.30 WIT

"From the hands of the Jufri perpetrator, the police found evidence of 1 black package wrapped in aluminum foil which is suspected to contain marijuana with a gross weight of 510.9 grams, one package sent by Tupperware in black with the Resi number JD0379163969, one unit of Iphone 8 brand cellphone Gold and one sim card," said Kasat during a press conference in Ternate, Wednesday, March 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

Jufri, who was arrested after taking the illicit goods at one of the freight forwarding services, said the perpetrator took the package based on AI alias Akhmad's request and promised Rp300 thousand.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator Auwal was arrested while riding a motorbike in front of Toloko Fort, Sangaji Village, Monday, March 25, at around 22.30 WIT. From the perpetrator, 19.33 grams of marijuana was secured by the perpetrator in the motorcycle pocket.

"From the hands of the perpetrator Auwal, we secured evidence of 1 large clear plastic sachet which is suspected to contain marijuana with a gross weight of 19.33 grams, 1 black plastic bag, 1 unit of Vivo Y21 brand cellphone, and 1 sim card," he said.

Kasat added that after being arrested the two perpetrators were taken to the Ternate Police for further investigation.

For their actions, the two perpetrators who work as students and fishermen are threatened with Article 114 Paragraph (1) or Article 111 Paragraph (2) of Law number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
