JAKARTA - The head of the Ganjar-Mahfud Legal Team, Todung Mulya Lubis, highlighted the thick neutrality that led to the nepotism of President Joko Widodo in holding the 2024 General Election.

In the 2024 presidential election dispute trial at the Constitutional Court (MK), Todung said Jokowi's nepotism was carried out in a structured, systematic and massive manner (TSM).

"The nepotism carried out by President Joko Widodo in the 2024 presidential election was carried out so neatly in a structured, systematic and massive manner that in the end made the 2024 presidential election only a mere theatrical action," said Todung at the Constitutional Court building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 27.

As the applicant for a dispute over the election results (PHPU), the Ganjar-Mahfud camp recorded thousands of election violations before the vote. This, according to him, greatly affects the behavior of voters who vote on polling stations.

The violations that occurred included power intervention, neutrality of law enforcement officials, ASN and village heads, politicization of social assistance, blackmail campaigns, and other violations.

"All of them come from one thing, there is nepotism carried out by President Joko Widodo which then gave birth to coordinated abuse of power to win the Candidate Pair number 2 in 1 round," said Todung.

This is what underlies Ganjar-Mahfud, in his lawsuit petitum, asking the Constitutional Court to order the KPu to repeat the 2024 presidential election no later than June 26, 2024.

Of course, on the condition that they do not include the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Not only that, but the Constitutional Court was also asked to disqualify Prabowo-Gibran as a participant in the 2024 presidential election and cancel the vote count results.

"Because the magnitude of the violation is so structured, systematic and massive, it is very reasonable if the Constitutional Court decides to hold a re-voting, because this is only able to restore the integrity of the general election and the presidential election in Indonesia," he added.
