JAKARTA - Chairman of the West Jakarta Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPD Anthony Norman Lianto resigned in the aftermath of a case of alleged sexual harassment of residents.

"The alleged perpetrator has resigned from his position as Chairman of the DPD since Tuesday, March 26, 2024," said Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PSI Regional Leadership Council (DPW) Elva Farhi Qolbina as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27.

Elva firmly stated his position regarding the alleged sexual violence case involving the former chairman of the West Jakarta PSI DPD.

Since being reported in connection with the case, the Jakarta PSI DPW has taken the necessary steps in accordance with the party's internal procedures.

"We want to emphasize that our party does not tolerate acts of sexual violence in any form and against anyone," he said.
