Holds Pekat Operation During Ramadan 2024, Police Arrest 141 Perpetrators In Solo

JAKARTA - The police held a Community Disease Operation (Pekat) in Solo during the month of Ramadan from March 6 to 25, 2024. As a result, 141 perpetrators with a number of evidence were secured.

"The Surakarta Police for 20 days managed to secure 141 criminals in the implementation of the 2024 Pekat operation, those involved in buying and selling alcoholic liquor, drugs, firecrackers, prostitution and thuggery," said Head of the Surakarta Police, Kombes Pol. Iwan said of the total 141 arrested perpetrators, 17 were involved in minor crimes (Tipiring), 20 were detained and 104 others were trained.

As for the details, 47 people are pekat alcoholic beverages, 18 people are gambling, 14 people are drugs, three people are thuggery, 50 people are prostitution and five people are firecrackers.

He explained that the case of firecrackers targeted for operation was in accordance with what had been set by the Central Java Police. Because firecrackers are considered dangerous and very disturbing to the atmosphere, especially at night, such as solemn worship and rest time.
