Session Of Election Result Lawsuit, Police Implement Special Security 8 Constitutional Court Judges

JAKARTA - The National Police will provide special security to the Constitutional Court (MK) judges during the 2024 dispute or dispute over general election results (PHPU) which will be held on Wednesday, March 28. The goal is to ensure that the trial process runs smoothly.

There are 8 constitutional judges who will handle the PHPU case for the 2024 presidential election. They are Suhartoyo, Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, Arsul Sani, Arief Hidayat, Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh, Guntur Hamzah, and Ridwan Mansyur.

"During the election-related hearing at the Constitutional Court, the National Police provided special security to the Constitutional Court judges who handled the 2024 General Election case trial, for the implementation of the trial to run safely and orderly and run smoothly," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Tuesday, March 26.

In the security scheme, at least 377 personnel were deployed. Hundreds of Polri personnel are also likely to be placed in areas outside the Constitutional Court Building. Because, there will be demonstrations that will color the proceedings.

"In handling this, the National Police deployed 377 personnel to secure the Constitutional Court building," he said

Meanwhile, for security inside the building and courtroom, security officers were deployed from the Constitutional Court officers.

"The National Police is also collaborating with the officers at the Constitutional Court office," said Trunoyudo.

The trial for the dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential election will be held at the Constitutional Court, Wednesday, March 27.

The inaugural trial will schedule a preliminary examination and submit a request from the applicant.

The Constitutional Court decided to divide the dispute over the results of the presidential election into two shifts due to two lawsuits.

The trial for the lawsuit filed by the Anies-Muhaimin camp will begin at 08.00 WIB. Then, followed by Ganjar-Mahfud's lawsuit at around 13.00 WIB.
