KPK Cecar Ahmad Sahroni Regarding SYL's 'Hot' Money Flow To The NasDem Party

JAKARTA - The investigation team of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the General Treasurer of the NasDem Party Ahmad Sahroni was investigated regarding the alleged flow of money from the suspect Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) to the NasDem Party. "Ahmad Sahroni (Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives), was present and confirmed, among other things, the alleged flow of money from the suspect SYL for the benefit of the party where the suspect is one of its cadres," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri when confirmed in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, March 25. Ali also said that the investigative team also examined Sahroni regarding the refund of Rp800 million from SYL. "The investigative team is also investigating the return of money through witnesses amounting to Rp800 million," he said. However, Ali has not provided further information about the details of the findings of the investigation team in the examination. To note, the General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, underwent an examination by the KPK investigating team on Friday, March 22 at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta. Sahroni was examined by investigators as a witness in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU) with the suspect former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL). The KPK previously announced that it had started investigating the alleged money laundering offense case against former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo as a development of the alleged corruption case within the Ministry of Agriculture. Minister of Agriculture for the 2019-2023 period Syahrul Yasim Limpo (SYL) is currently undergoing a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).

SYL was charged with extortion and received gratuities totaling Rp44.5 billion in cases of alleged corruption at the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) in the 2020-2023 period.
