Sahroni Reveals SYL's Money Flow To The NasDem Party After Under Investigation By KPK

The General Treasurer of the NasDem Party who is also Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI Ahmad Sahroni admitted that he received money from former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

This statement was made after undergoing an examination at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Friday, March 22. He said, there were two receipts with a different nominal.

"Rp820 million from SYL and Rp40 million for flood disaster assistance, yes," Sahroni told reporters at the location.

Sahroni said the Rp820 million - previously called Rp800 million - had been returned to the KPK. While the rest were asked to be returned after being confirmed about the receipt by investigators.

"Yes, I have, IDR 820 million (already returned, ed). There is only one addition that I told you this morning. There is Rp40 million that needs to be confirmed and investigators have suggested it," he said.

This legislator said that the KPK asked for the refund to be carried out immediately. "Today, it will be transferred to a virtual account," said Sahroni.

Sahroni confirmed that he had explained everything he knew to the anti-corruption commission investigators. He appreciated the investigation he had just carried out.

"I appreciate the KPK, the acceptance is quite fast from arriving and two minutes waiting to go straight up," he said.

"And there are several questions (asked, ed) maybe friends will be able to ask the investigators directly. However, so far is related to SYL's TPPU," continued Sahroni.

Previously reported, the KPK named Syahrul Yasin Limpo as a suspect in alleged money laundering. This step was taken after investigators developed allegations of extortion and gratification which is currently being tried at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).

In the case of extortion and gratification, Syahrul was charged with extortion of up to Rp44.5 billion in the 2020-2023 period. This action was carried out together with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

This money was then used for the benefit of Syahrul's wife and family, invited gifts, the NasDem Party, religious events, aircraft charters to Umrah and sacrifices. Then, he was also charged with receiving gratuities of Rp40.6 M from January 2020 to October 2023.
