TPN Ganjar-Mahfud Calls The National Police Chief Prohibited The Regional Police Chief From Witnesses At The Constitutional Court Regarding Election Cheating

JAKARTA - The Deputy for Law for the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud MD, Todung Mulya Lubis admitted that he was disappointed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to prohibit a regional police chief from testifying at the Constitutional Court (MK).

This was conveyed by Todung when asked about the existence of a regional police chief who would testify at the Constitutional Court when the lawsuit against the results of the 2024 presidential election was filed. He admitted that he was disappointed with the ban.

"What I am certain to be disappointed with is that the National Police Chief forbade the Kapolda to be a witness," Todung told reporters at the GAMA Command Post, Jalan Teuku Umar, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.

Even so, Todung did not want to specify who the real police chief would be in the lawsuit at the Constitutional Court. He only emphasized that there are still many other witnesses who will be submitted and have been selected.

"We have witnesses maybe 30 but depending on the Constitutional Court we will accept all witnesses (or not, ed). We have 10 experts, back to the Constitutional Court," he said.

Todung admitted that it was not difficult to gather witnesses. However, he revealed that there were those who were afraid when they would be proposed.

Many were scared. Don't dare even though they witnessed and experienced. I don't know why, "said the senior advocate.

"But there must be an aura of power above that great. There are possible monsters," he concluded.
