The KPU has determined that the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka is superior in Papua Province based on the recapitulation of the results of the 2024 presidential election vote acquisition.

"Can we legalize it? Bismillah is legal," said KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 20.

In the Plenary Meeting of the Recapitulation of National Level Vote Accounting Results, Prabowo-Gibran outperformed two other couples by winning 378,908 votes.

Meanwhile, the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair received 178,534 votes, and the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair received 67,592 votes.

The number of residents on the permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 General Election in the province is 727,835 people and 659,683 voters who exercise their voting rights.

The number of voters on the additional voter list (DPTb) was recorded at 2,554 people and the special voter list (DPK) was 22,268 people.

Overall, those who exercise their right to vote amounted to 684,505 with legal ballot details reaching 625,034 and 59,471 invalid votes.
