Prabowo-Gibran Pair Wins 71,268 Votes In Jayapura, KPU: This Is The Result Of The Final Plenary Meeting From 19 Districts

SENTANI - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Jayapura Regency, Papua said the final plenary meeting of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number two Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka won with 71,268 votes.

The number of votes obtained by the presidential-vice presidential pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka outperformed presidential and vice presidential pairs number one Anis Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar 14,457 votes, number three Ganjar Pranowo and Professor Mahfud MD 36,437 votes.

KPU commissioner Jayapura Lodik Y Mayfrendi Ap in a release at Sentani on Sunday said that according to the results of the vote recapitulation plenary meeting which took place on Saturday, March 16, the presidential pair of vice president Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka were absolute ahead.

"This result is a final plenary meeting of the results of the votes obtained from 19 districts in Jayapura Regency, where the community gives their political things to the pair number two," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 17.

According to Lodik, the number of votes was obtained because the Papuan people, especially in Jayapura Regency, were sympathetic and amazed at the two presidential candidates in number two.

"People believe that in the leadership of Prabowo-Gibran, Indonesia will triumph in all sectors so that it will be respected by foreign countries," he said.

Meanwhile, Papuan traditional community leader Yanto Eluay stated that from the start he was sure that presidential candidate Prabowo-Gibran would excel in Jayapura Regency.

"Since the first time the vice presidential candidate Gibran came and met Papuan community leaders at the Kampung Serah pavilion, it has been seen that they will win the hearts of the people of Jayapura," he said.

He added that the two leaders of this nation are believed to be able to bring change to the Indonesian nation in the next five years so that the majority of people in Jayapura Regency support it.

"We hope that they will be elected president, there will be real changes and welfare for the people of Papua and Indonesia at large and this country can be respected by other nations," he said.
