Gorontalo City Police Holds Iftar With Prisoners

GORONTALO - The Detention and Evidence Unit of the Gorontalo City Police, Gorontalo Province held breaking the fast to Yasinan with the prisoners.

Gorontalo City Police Chief Kombes Pol. Ade Permana in Gorontalo, Sunday said the activity which took place in the Mapolresta detention room was aimed at increasing mental strengthening and faith for the prisoners.

"This is a form of our concern for the prisoners, because they also have the right to enjoy togetherness in the month of Ramadan," said the Chief of Police.

In addition, he said, through breaking the fast to the joint Yasinan, the Detention and Evidence Care Unit as a unit that has the function of administering prisoners care, including health services and fostering prisoners, wants to strengthen the ties of friendship to the impression of happiness with the prisoners.

He also said that the holy month of Ramadan is a good enough momentum for fellow people to share blessings and sustenance, especially in building intimacy between the police and detainees.

Therefore, said the Chief of Police with activities like this, it can increase the faith and piety of the prisoners so that they can get enlightenment after serving a period of detention.

"Hopefully this togetherness can provide benefits to prisoners to always worship and do good," he added.
