JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), emphasized the manufacture of a free waqf land certificate without being charged a fee of one rupiah. This was conveyed by AHY after distributing a number of waqf land certificates to 10 nazir or waqf land owners at the Nashrulloh Mosque, Surabaya City, East Java Province. With the waqf land certification, AHY said, the public can safely accept waqf. Therefore, he hopes that the certificates submitted by the allocation of mosques, prayer rooms, foundations, schools, and hospitals can bring goodness to the community. "This is a form of state alignment, from the government, especially in this case the Ministry of ATR/BPN to continue to attend and provide the best for the community as well as for the people," said AHY. "We know that the existence of this mosque has been a long time, of course, the legal certainty is needed, and here we hope that with certainty that the right to land as well as this mosque can bring blessings and goodness to the congregation and also the people who are here," he continued. On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Democratic Party said that one of the nazir admitted that he had been waiting for his waqf land certificate since 1986. He said that with the granting of this certificate, the nazir could finally get legal certainty after waiting for more than 40 years.

"I submit the waqf land certificate that he has conveyed since 1986, meaning that it has been decades, I immediately convey it," he said.AHY also asked the nazir and the congregation of the mosque to be willing to disseminate information that the creation of waqf land is free to the wider community. That way, according to AHY, the people who own the waqf land want to immediately make the required certificate. "This is for the sake of controlling land administration and spatial planning in the city of Surabaya," said AHY.
