NasDem Regarding Anies Baswedan In The DKI Gubernatorial Election: Some Say It's Above Why Go Down Again

Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, is rumored to be participating in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub) contestation.

Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Nasdem Party, Hermawi Taslim, said that this matter would be conveyed after the completion of the 2024 presidential election vote count process on March 20.

"I don't think Mr. Anies will answer before the 20th. But his attitude is determined by us, who have been behind him all this time. But there is no certainty if we are also waiting for the recapitulation. How would we know he won as president," Hermawi told reporters, Saturday, March 16.

Later, NaseDem will communicate directly with Anies Baswedan about this matter.

According to him, it is undeniable that many have argued to re-nominate Anies Baswesan. However, there are also parties who claim to be different.

"Indeed, there are many who say, so that we candidate Anies again, but some say 'don't let Mr. Anies be above, why come down'," he said.

So far, NasDem already has three names which are likely to be carried in the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election contestation. One of them is the General Treasurer of NasDem Ahmad Sahroni.

"In us, there have been 3 names mentioned from the beginning, Ahmad Sahroni, Wibi Andrino, Okky Asokawati. From Nasdem," said Hermawi.
