Confess A Man Reported Twice To The Police For Writing Comments On The Colon Of An Online Sale And Purchase Site

JAKARTA - Hendy Admadiredja, admitted that he was reported to the police on the basis of violating the ITE Law just because he made comments on social media.

"This person with the initials TA reported me because of my chat on October 11, 2023, which said'ready not to see children again'," said Hendy Admadiredja, Friday, March 15.

Hendy's attorney, Patrick from LQ Law Firm, explained that Hendy was reported by TA on the basis of comments on one of the online shopping sites. There, said Patrick, there is a comment column where Hendy wrote a comment that was used as evidence for reporting TA to the police.

"So actually here you mean the term is just a fad comment," he said.

Hendy said that if he was reported, TA had been reported twice in a row at the West Jakarta Police.

"I was reported by the initials TA twice in a row. At the West Jakarta Police, I already had SP3. Then the problem was on this 11th. I said, this is the trial decision. Because he lost the trial decision, so I said be prepared, don't cry, report people before. This period is used as the basis for the report, and oddly accepted," explained Hendy.

Regarding the case that ensnared Hendy, Hendy's attorney, Patrick explained legally the problems faced by his client.

Meanwhile, Patrick considered that Hendy's report contained elements of threats.

"If I see for myself, this is included in Article 29 of the ITE Law, yes. Where is there a threat. For example, if we look at this chat, it must be seen that it is analyzed first if in the chat there are threatening elements or not. We have made an effort to request a case title, specifically, we are trying to restore justice. That means if we can do it in a peaceful way. Yes, if possible, try it first. If for example they don't want to be cooperative, then we will still try to take legal action," said Patrick in front of Alvin Lim.

"Later, we will also make an appointment with the investigators as well, sir," continued Patrick.

Patrick added that he would coordinate with his colleagues at the LQ Law Firm to resolve this case.
