Luhut Asks Golkar Party Leaders Not To Be Regulated, We Are Regulated Now

Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Golkar Party, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, asked all high-ranking officials in the party bearing the independent banyan tree not to be mixed with external parties.

This statement was conveyed by Luhut in his remarks at the event, "Open Fasting and Friendship of the Golkar Party throughout Indonesia," which was attended by all high-ranking Golkar Party officials, in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, Friday, March 15.

Initially, Luhut congratulated the Golkar Party and Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto for being able to win 102 seats at the DPR level in the 2024 election.

"First, I want to congratulate Golkar and Mr. Airlangga with his leadership, which I think brings Golkar to its current position," said Luhut.

He considered that Golkar was in a very good position and asked high-ranking officials and administrators not to injure Golkar's success in the 2024 General Election.

"I think this is the work of all of us, therefore Golkar is in a very good position. Don't let us be hurt by our strange efforts, everyone must unite. So the instructions from the party chairman must be carried out, this is important," he said.

"If we maintain this, the chain of command (chain command) can all be regulated by Golkar. Because today Golkar got 102 seats if I'm not mistaken and there are still opportunities for 104 seats because there are still calculations, there are still 40 million votes that haven't come in and for Golkar there are still opportunities," he continued.

Luhut admitted that he was very proud to see the Golkar Party's acquisition in the 2024 election and according to him, many people asked about Golkar's success.

"I think we have to appreciate the team in Golkar, of course there are those who don't like it, we have to stick together against it, don't let us try to play games ourselves, because everything can be read, we can read from where, who played here, played there," he said.

"And I think, Mr. Airlangga, we like it or not, he has brought Golkar to its current position. So all elements and we agreed, earlier Mr. Ical with me talked a lot and (also) Mr. Airlangga, we don't want to be regulated by other people, we will regulate it, so Golkar rules, don't set Golkar by other people," he said.
