JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that the rights of its detainees to perform fasting are fulfilled. It is ensured that these criminals receive a sahur menu and a proper breaking of the fast.

"There are no restrictions on the rights of the suspect, whether it's about eating suhoor, breaking the fast," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters quoted on Thursday, March 14.

Ali said the meal had been given to the detainees at the detention center (rutan) since 03.00 WIB. "Then in the afternoon when breaking the fast there was also takjil and heavy food at 16.00 WIB in the afternoon," he said.

Meanwhile, for prayers, the prisoners were also given the opportunity. Ali said tarawih prayers would be held during the fasting month.

"In all Rutan Branches of the KPK. In Merah Putih, the KPK is also in each block, then in C1, at Pomdam Jaya Guntur there is also a place for prayers at the mosque, yes, tarawih prayers are carried out. Including in Puspom AL," he said.

"As the rights of the suspect detained at the KPK branch detention center, of course, we will still give his rights to worship, the rights to get food and so on," concluded Ali.
