Mining Truck Driver In Parungpanjang Bogor Makes Disadvantage, Demo Closes Access To Jalan Dua Province Along 19 Kilometers

After the re-implementation of the Bogor Perbup 56/2023 related to the operating hours of mining transportation, the tronton truck drivers returned to action.

A number of tronton truck drivers staged a demonstration by stopping the elephant size car in the middle of the Parungpanjang highway.

The action took place from 22.30 WIB on Wednesday, after residents performed tarawih prayers until Thursday, February 14 in the morning.

As a result of the action of the tronton truck drivers, Parungpanjang Street was completely jammed and traffic barely moved.

As a result of the protests by mining truck drivers, it caused traffic jams to reach 19 kilometers, starting from Jagabaya, Parungpanjang District to Karawaci, Tangerang Regency.

Mining truck drivers began to return to normal after mediation between drivers and the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).

"We are holding this demonstration only demanding to revoke the operating hours that have been tested. Because the new rules are not in our favor," said one of Agus' mining transportation drivers.

Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Tangerang Bogor Transporter Association, Achmad Gojali, said that this demonstration was carried out spontaneously which started at 21:30 WIB.

"Vehicles can only move at 02:30 WIB in the morning, after mediation with the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency," said Achmad Gozali.

He said that the drivers demanded that mining transportation, either charged or empty, be carried out as usual during the previous regent's rules.

"The drivers demanded that they pass from 20:00 WIB to 09:00 WIB, according to the previous Perbup from number 56 to number 120," said Achmad Gozali.

Meanwhile, the Head of Traffic Division of the Bogor Regency Transportation Service (Dishub), Dadang Kosasih explained, the results of mediation with mining truck drivers will be discussed with the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab).

"At 3 pm we invite the drivers in Cibinong to discuss the perbup issue," he said briefly.

Meanwhile, the demonstration of mining truck drivers has again made Parungpanjang residents miserable. They demonstrationd to the point of closing the road with their trucks.

Dony, one of the residents of Parungpanjang, said that it made the local residents very miserable. Mining trucks block roads. Residents who live around them cannot pass. The road access is completely paralyzed

"The government must act quickly so that the problem does not drag on and the residents do not suffer a lot because the road access is completely paralyzed," he explained.
