Gembong Fredy Pratama Forms A New Network, Appoints Women As Leaders

JAKARTA - Drug dealer Fredy Pratama is said to have formed a new network after one by one his members were arrested by the police. A woman was appointed as the leader.

"The new network formed by Fredy Pratama and controlled directly by Fredy Pratama is controlled on behalf of L as a woman," said Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa to reporters, Wednesday, March 13.

The discovery of Fredy Pratama's new network after the Central Java Police arrested four suspects. They belong to the women's leadership group with the initials L.

The woman played a role in recruiting new members. Currently, L is still being hunted down.

"We are looking for a new intellectual figure, a woman. The main role is controlling the new network and recruiting new people and also some former inmates," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the P3GN Polri Task Force, Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, said that in an effort to eradicate Fredy Pratama's network, Pikanya had arrested dozens of its members.

"The P3GN Task Force team until March 2024 has arrested another Fredy Pratama network related to money laundering offenses, narcotics with a total of 50 suspects detained by the P3GN Task Force," said Edi.

Of the dozens of suspects, most of them have been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office. Thus, they will be tried in the trial stage.

"Selah tahap 2 sebanyak 45 tersangka. Untuk P19 sebanyak 1 tersangka," kata Edi.

In hunting for Fredy Pratama, the National Police held the Escobar operation. From September 2023 to February 2024, as many as 54 drug suspects from the Fredy Pratama network, one of which was Bayu Firmandi who was arrested in 2023 and charged with money laundering offenses.

In addition, Polri investigators have confiscated most of Fredy Pratama's network assets in Indonesia with a value of IDR 400 billion.
