Two Fugitives From The Tanah Abang Police Were Arrested In West Sumatra And Bogor

JAKARTA - Two fugitives from the Tanah Abang Metro Police have been arrested by a joint team from the Central Jakarta Metro Police outside Jakarta. However, the police are still hunting for another prisoner who is still at large.

"We managed to arrest Harisquallah Arrahman and Welen Saputra Thio in two separate locations," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed, Wednesday, March 13.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Chandra Mata Rohansyah, explained that his party managed to arrest two detainees who escaped in separate locations.

"Harsqullah Arrahman was arrested in Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra. Meanwhile, Welen Saputra Thio was arrested in the Tajur Halang area, Bogor, West Java," he added.

Currently, a joint team from the Central Jakarta Metro Police is still hunting for one suspect who is still at large.

"The Renal suspect we are still pursuing is a joint team formed by the Central Jakarta Metro Police, including the Satreskrim and Satnarkoba," he said.

It is known that 16 prisoners from the Tanah Abang Metro Police had escaped on Monday, February 19, 2024. Currently, the Central Jakarta Metro Police have arrested 15 suspect detainees who escaped.

They managed to escape from detention by sawing the trellis. The actions were carried out by the detainees with the help of smuggling a hack by suspect Riski Amelia, the wife of one of the suspects who escaped. The salary was smuggled when Riski Amelia visited her husband.
