The Joint SAR Team has not been able to evacuate the victims of the Pilatus PC-6 Porter PK-SNE plane that crashed at the forest location in Binuang, Nunukan, North Kalimantan.
"It has not been successfully evacuated, only the SAR team arrived at the location because of the limited signal that they have not received any progress information," said Nunukan Police Chief AKBP Taufik Nurmandia when contacted by ANTARA from Tarakan, Sunday, March 10.
He revealed that there was no information from the Joint SAR team by land because there was no telephone signal yet, whether it was at the location. Meanwhile, the team that has not carried out the evacuation is still at Binuang airport.
On the third day at 08.30 WITA the Joint SAR Team continued the search in the first five areas in 3°43'14.11"N 115°56'42.35"E, second in 3°43'13.10"N 115°56'25.12"E, third in 3°43'37.89"N 115°56'23.78"E, fourth in 3°43'40.63"N 115°56'41.63"E and evacuation site 3° 43' 27.60" N 115° 56'.40" E with an altitude of 6000 FT.
The SAR elements involved are the Kansar Tarakan Rescue Team, Anang Busra Tarakan Air Base, Squadron 5 Sultan Hasanuddin, Kodam VI Mulawarman, Satrad 225 Tarakan, Atang Sendjaja Air Base and Brimob Polda Kaltara.
Then the Tarakan Police, Malinau Police, Kodim 0907 Tarakan, Kodim 0910 Malinau, Battalion 614 Raja Pandita, BPBD Malinau Regency, Airnav Tarakan and Airnav Malinau.
Next are UPBU Juwata Tarakan, UPBU RA Bessing, BMKG Tarakan, Smart Aviation, MAF Tarakan, Jusuf SK Hospital, PMI Tarakan, PMI Malinau and RMPB Malinau Regency.
The plane belonging to Smart Aviation was reported missing contact this morning after taking off from Juwata Tarakan International Airport, Friday (8/2) at 08.25 WITA to Binuang, Krayan, Nunukan at 09.25 WITA.
