Central Java KPU Recapitulation: Prabowo-Gibran Beat Ganjar-Mahfud In Banteng Kandang

Central Java General Election Commission (KPU) has completed the recapitulation process and calculation of the results of the 2024 General Election as well as the determination of the election results for candidates for members of the provincial DPRD. Prabowo-Gibran won the vote acquisition at the PDIP base aka the bull pen.

The open plenary meeting of the recapitulation and provincial level calculations ended with the submission of the minutes of calculations by the Chairman of the Central Java KPU Handi Tri Ujiono to witnesses of each pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates, political parties, and candidates for members of the DPD RI, Saturday.

According to him, the open plenary meeting at the provincial level was delayed from the planned schedule which was supposed to be completed on March 8, 2024.

"The delay is because there are several areas that have not been resolved, so it will take hours," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 9.

Some areas with a long recapitulation process include Banjarnegara, Brebes, Wonosobo, and Magelang regencies.

"The recapitulation is going well. Everything is finished even though there is an objection," he said.

He said the objections raised by the witnesses were related to the process.

In the plenary meeting, the Central Java KPU determined the results of the calculation of the election for members of the Central Java DPRD.

Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the Presidential, DPR, and DPD RI elections, he said, will be read out by the Central Java KPU when the plenary meeting is open at the Indonesian KPU.

Meanwhile, in the calculation of presidential elections at the provincial level, the results of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming pair obtained 12,096,454 votes, the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md pair was 7,827,335 votes, and the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair won 2,866,373 votes.

The total number of valid votes in the February 14 election was 22,790,162 votes, with 685,649 invalid votes.
