MPR RI Invites Catholics To Work Nationality In Central Kalimantan

PALANGKA RAYA - Member of the MPR RI from the DPD RI Agustin Teras Narang invites all elements of society, especially Catholics in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan), to remain enthusiastic and continue national work in the local province.

"This includes strengthening national relations and tolerance with other religious elements. It is also necessary to strengthen partnerships in the development of superior human resources (HR) through education and health to socio-economic," said Teras Narang in a statement received in Palangka Raya, Saturday.

This was conveyed by Agustin Teras Narang during a discussion of the four pillars of nationality with the Catholic Parish of Jesus the Good Shepherd in Palangka Raya.

In addition to discussing the four pillars of nationality consisting of Pancasila, the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, he also highlighted the development of the younger generation, especially Generation Z.

According to the former Governor of Central Kalimantan for the 2004-2015 period, Indonesia's young generation, including in Central Kalimantan, experienced a leap of knowledge.

According to him, there is a disruption that has caused quantum leaps to occur in the current generation, thus making us, including religious leaders, have many tasks. Where this task is so that the younger generation gets an understanding of the challenges they have.

"So that they understand about morality, ethics, discipline, and the ability to prevent negative effects of media developments, especially today the spread of drugs is increasingly circulating," said Teras Narang.

In the discussion of the four pillars of nationality, Pastor of Paroki Jesus the Good Shepherd, nurses, community leaders and other Catholics were also present, totaling around 250 people.

"Let's fight together. Through the spirit of togetherness, we build our beloved Central Kalimantan," said Teras Narang.
