Allegations Of Corruption In Official Houses, KPK Reminds DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar To Be Cooperative

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives Indra Iskandar to come when summoned regarding allegations of corruption in the official residence of council members. There is no reason to be absent, especially since he and six other people have been prevented from leaving the country.

"It is hoped that these prevented parties will be cooperative and remain in the country," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters quoted on Wednesday, March 6.

Ali said Indra's statement and other parties were needed so that the investigation into the alleged corruption could proceed. They must provide an explanation to investigators.

As previously reported, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent seven people from leaving the country. It has not been detailed who they are, but based on information circulating, one of them is the Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar.

He was prevented with the Head of the Rumjab Management Section of the DPR RI Hiphi Hidati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.

Then, it was also prevented by the Director of Operations of PT Avantgarde Production, Kibun Roni; Project Manager of PT Integra Indocabinet, Andrias Catur Prasetya; and Edwin Budiman who is private.

This prevention was carried out after the anti-corruption commission decided that the alleged corruption within the Secretariat General of the DPR RI went up to investigation. It is suspected that corruption has occurred related to the procurement of housing for the office of members of the DPR RI.
