If You Learn From The 2019 Election, Experts Regret The Sirekap Controversy: The Budget Is Folding, It Shouldn't Be Like This

JAKARTA - A member of the Advisory Council of Needdem Titi Anggraini considers the irregularities of the Sirekap system to be the result of the government and the election organizers' instruments, in this case the KPU-Bawaslu, which did not reflect on the implementation of the 2019 General Election.

Basically Titi assessed that Sirekap was positive, which was used as a tool for calculating and recapitulating the votes of the 2024 General Election because it upholds the hope of transparency and solutions to protracted manual calculations.

"The style of the idea is very good, Mas, because it is an instrument of transparency in the middle of a very long tiered manual process and is not accessible to public access," he wrote on his X-social media account, Tuesday, March 5.

However, because it did not make the election five years ago a lesson so that the Sirekap system, which made it, cost billions of rupiah from the APBN, continued to generate controversy in the 2024 General Election.

"With the budget doubling and learning of previous elections, it shouldn't be like this," he said.

The costs for Sirekap funded by the State Budget are contained in the RI KPU Satker Working Paper Details document for the 2023 fiscal year.
