KPK Waits For The Presence Of 2 Adjutants Of The Governor Of North Maluku With The Status Of TNI Members

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said two non-active North Maluku Governor aides Abdul Gani Kasuba, Husni Lelean and Dede Sobari who were summoned as witnesses were not present on Monday, March 4. In fact, the two statements were needed to investigate allegations of bribery for procurement and project permits. "So far, the information we have obtained has not yet been present to fulfill the summons," said KPK Head Ali Fikri to reporters in his written statement, Tuesday, March 5. Ali asked both of them who are members of the TNI to fulfill the next summons. Moreover, the letter has been properly sent to both the two as well as the Air Force Chief of Staff (AU) and the Army (AD). However, he did not specify when the summons will be made. "We believe that the next time will be present (both witnesses, ed) because their statements are needed as witnesses," said Ali. Previously, Abdul Gani Kasuba was a suspect in the alleged bribery of goods and services procurement projects as well as granting permits within the North Maluku Provincial Government. He was detained along with five other suspects since December 20 after being caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT). The five suspects were the Head of Housing and Settlement of the North Maluku Provincial Government, Adnan Hasanudin; Head of PUPR Maluku Provincial Government Daud Ismail; Head of BPPBJ North Maluku Provincial Government Ridwan Arsan; Ramadhan Ibrahim who is an aide to Abdul Gani and private parties, namely Stevi Thomas and Kristian Wuisan. In this case, Abdul Gani was charged for allegedly participating in determining the contractors to be won in job project auctions in the province he leads. He even determined the amount of deposits from the entrepreneurs. The KPKPK suspects that Abdul Gani also ordered his subordinates to manipulate the work as if the project was completed by 50 percent. The goal, so that the budget derived from the APBD could be disbursed.

Abdul said that the anti-corruption commission did not directly receive money from contractors. He used the holding account held by his trusted people. The money was then used by Abdul Gani to pay the inn to pay for his health check. The initial number of findings obtained by the KPK in the account reached Rp. 2.2 billion.
