Attending The GSN Declaration, This Is What Prabowo Subianto Said In His Welcome

JAKARTA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) Prabowo Subianto revealed that GSN has provided school clothes for 10 thousand children.

"GSN is already working. I know, I monitor, if I'm not mistaken, I have given school clothes to 10 thousand children. 10 thousand children seem to be many but still lacking," Prabowo said at the Arena Indonesia, Jakarta, Saturday afternoon as quoted by Antara.

Prabowo explained, to meet the needs of school clothes, a child needs around Rp. 1.2 million per year, including school uniforms, shoes, socks, and sports clothes.

He said that the contribution of Rp. 100,000 per month from each person was sufficient to meet school needs for one child.

Prabowo also invited businessmen, especially members of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), to participate in this movement. If every HIPMI member sets aside IDR 100,000 per month, they can help one child.

"So this is real, I ask you to move. Each of you that can be Rp. 100,000 is Rp. 100,000, which can be Rp. 500 thousand, which means five children and so on," said Prabowo.

He emphasized the importance of the role of society with an economy capable of helping Indonesian children's education through real contributions.

"So if the state budget, God willing, we will deploy it for a nutritious lunch, but if there are still millions of our children who still don't have clothes. Parents find it difficult to provide clothes for their children and because of that they can't go to school," he said.

On that occasion, Prabowo also asked GSN to minimize ceremonial activities, and prioritize real actions to help people in need of assistance.

The National Solidarity Movement (GSN) was officially declared by the former Chairman of the Prabowo National Campaign Team (TKN) Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Rosan Roeslani at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta.

GSN chaired by Rosan Roeslani replaces the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN). The formation of GSN was proposed by Prabowo in March.

Prabowo in his speech said that this declaration was made so that the volunteers who were members of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN in the 2024 Presidential Election would not disband and could continue the struggle.

"My intention and objective is that TKN, which was already a fairly large organizational network, is quite massive, not just disbanded because our struggle has not been completed," said Prabowo.

"Our struggle is to move together towards Indonesia, which we aspire to, Indonesia, where the Indonesian people live well, live prosperously," he continued.
