Puan Maharani Absent From The Plenary Meeting Of The Opening Of The DPR Session Period During The Issue Of Questionnaire Rights

JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives has again held a plenary meeting to open the IV trial period for the 2023-2024 session in the plenary meeting room, Nusantara II MPR/DPR/DPD RI, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 5. The agenda became the first DPR plenary meeting after the 2024 election.

The plenary meeting for the opening of today's session contains two agendas. One of them, the meeting scheduled the speech of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani. However, Puan was absent from the plenary meeting which was originally scheduled to start at 09.30 WIB because she was still in Paris, France, during a working visit. One of the activities of Puan attending the High Level Conference (KTT) of the Chairperson of the World Women Speakers' Summit 2024. The summit will be held for two days, namely 6-7 March 2024.

Based on her official statement, Puan will hold a number of agendas during her visit to France this week. Before attending the Women Speakers' Summit 2024, Puan will hold a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the French National Assembly

Puan's meeting with Ya Total Braun-Pivet was held today, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the office of the French National Assembly or National Assembly of French located in Paris.

"The relationship between Indonesia and France has grown positively for more than 73 years. The DPR RI meeting with the National Assembly of French can encourage closer cooperation between the two countries," said Puan.

In today's plenary meeting, Puan was represented by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, to lead the session and read out the speech of the chairman of the DPR. Based on the news, the plenary session will be bombarded with interruptions regarding the issue of the right to fraud in the 2024 General Election. Meanwhile, outside the DPR building, thousands of security forces have been on guard to secure demonstrations demanding the implementation of the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election.
