KEDIRI - Hotman Paris' team of lawyers representing the family of Bintang Balqis Maulana (14), a student who was killed by seniors in Kediri Regency, East Java, revealed the alleged involvement of the Islamic boarding school.

Lanang Kujang Panunjang, a member of the team of lawyers, claimed that the indication was revealed through information obtained from the victim's family.

From the police reconstruction, Lanang concluded that there was an earlier incident involving the boarding school.

"There are indications that previously there was a series of events first," said Lanang after accompanying the victim's family at the Kediri City Police on Monday, February 4.

Lanang explained that the victim's family had seen health problems and changes in the attitude of Bintang Balqis Maulana, before the disclosure of this case. The victim often complained of headaches to his family and several times expressed his desire to go home, but suddenly refused.

The team of lawyers suspected that there were activities or threats at the Islamic boarding school that made the victim reluctant to go home.

"The allegation of these indications is still very open. We hope that the police can develop an investigation not only against the perpetrators, but also against the Islamic boarding school," said Lanang.

Meanwhile, the victim's biological mother, Suyanti (38 years old), hopes that the act of persecution that led to the loss of her child's life will soon be revealed.

"Hopefully the truth will be revealed and crime will be revealed," said Suyanti.
